Digital Government Forms Platform — Sri Lanka

Digital Government Forms Platform — Sri Lanka

Info

Digital Government Forms (forms.gov.lk) is a national e-Government platform developed for the Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) of Sri Lanka, enabling public institutions to digitize forms, process applications, and deliver government services online.

Initiated in 2021 with World Bank support through the Contingent Emergency Response Component (CERC), the platform replaces paper-based processes with centralized digital services, reducing administrative complexity and improving accessibility for citizens and businesses.

Following its successful pilot in 2022, the platform expanded across government institutions. By September 2023, it had onboarded 23 government organizations, digitized 31 forms, registered 11,274 citizens, and processed 3,138 online submissions.

The initiative demonstrates how shared Digital Public Infrastructure can accelerate government modernization and enable more efficient, accessible, citizen-centric public services.
